Introductory Lecture on Claude Code
Introduction to coding agents and Claude Code with Fabian Rohlik at ETH. More than 150 people joined for a practical session on agentic coding, setup, context, prompting, permissions, skills, subagents, and MCP.

Fabian Rohlik introduced coding agents as model-powered systems that can act on a computer, iterate through reason-act-observe loops, and help developers build software faster with tools like Claude Code.
Over 150 people showed up for the session with Claude Builder Club at ETH. HG D 7.1 was packed with students and company teams learning how to use coding agents in real engineering work.
The lecture covered Claude Code through the CLI and desktop workflows, plus transferable concepts for Codex, OpenCode, Cursor, Copilot, and similar tools.
Key topics included setup, prompting, context management, permissions, commands, project instructions, skills, subagents, and MCP servers.
Slides and follow-up resources are available through Fabian's talk page linked above.
